Spring 2023 Application Fall 2022 Application

Application Form

Complete the online application form to apply for funding. Note: application for Spring 2023 is now open.

It is important to note that there are two ways to complete your funding application. You may:

  1. Apply for pre-approval. Apply for funding before you begin looking for your internship. Example: Students who want to intern in New York City, but don’t have access to transportation, may want to apply for guaranteed train fare before looking for a specific internship.

  1. Apply for funding with an approved internship. You must have an approved internship in Handshake.

Note: This application is separate from your application to gain credit for an internship. Funding up to $3,000 will be awarded.

Pre-approved funding is available so you can feel confident in applying for internships that have additional costs. For example, if you would like to apply to internships in a certain region that requires transportation costs, a pre-approval for train fare can alleviate limitations on your internship search.

To apply for pre-approved funding:

  • Meet with your faculty sponsor to discuss the possibility of doing an internship and where you might want to do one. Your faculty sponsor will need to email internships@oneonta.edu acknowledging that you have met with them and that they support your internship.
  • Complete the application form before the pre-approval due date and indicate that you are applying for pre-approval.

Important: If you receive pre-approved funding, you must have an approved internship by the deadline listed in your award letter. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of awarded funding.

Funding can be applied for the following expenses:
