Video Creation and Editing Assistance

With assistance from Creative Media Services and the Information Technology Services, the TLTC can assist you in the creation and editing of video. This video can be digitized for use on electronic platforms such as web pages, course management systems, YouTube, etc. or copied to portable media.

For more information about this service contact any member of the TLTC staff.

PODcasting & Videocasting

Podcasting is a term for distributing audio content for listening on mobile devices and personal computers. A podcast is a web feed of audio or video files placed on the Internet for anyone to subscribe to. Websites also may offer direct download of files, but the subscription feed of automatically delivered new content is what distinguishes a podcast from a simple download or real-time streaming.

Videocasting, or vodcast is a term used for the online delivery of video on demand content. The video enclosed in a vodcast can be stored on a web server in any file-based container and codec, or streamed from a streaming server. Podcasting clients can usually be set up to open suitable software to play the videos, although iTunes can play vodcasts internally if they are in a suitable format. The TLTC has the technology in place to support faculty who would like to create their own podcasts or videocasts. Please contact us at x4567 to learn more about this technology.

TLTC

The mission of the TLTC is to support the integration and effective use of technology in teaching and learning. The TLTC serves as a catalyst for collegial exchange about the implementation of educational technology.

The TLTC strives to inspire, engage, and partner with faculty, academic staff, and campus functional groups to collaborate on initiatives; to provide training, resources, professional development events, and one-on-one support.
